Rudi Dallos is a consultant clinical psychologist and researcher director on the clinical psychology training course at the University of Plymouth. He currently specialises in work with young people who have acute mental health problems and also who have committed criminal offences. Currently he is conducting research on the attachment narratives of families where a member has suffered with anorexia. Previous research and publications have included work on; couples and sexual problems, pathways to problems, family belief systems, families and social contexts and families and narratives. Along with Ros Draper he has produced a new introductory text: An Introduction to Family Therapy.

Rudi Dallos ist beratender klinischer Psychologe und Forschungsleiter im Studiengang klinische Psychologie and der Universität Plymouth. Zur Zeit beschäftigt er sich besonders mit jungen Menschen, die akute psychische Probleme haben und Straftaten begangen haben. Weiterhin forscht er derzeit über Bindungserzählungen von Familien, in denen ein Mitglied an Anorexie leidet. Seine vorangegangenen Forschungen und Veröffentlichungen befassen sich mit Paaren mit sexuellen Problemen, Wege zu Problemen, Familiensystemen, Familien und sozialen Kontexten, und Familien und Erzählungen. Zusammen mit Ros Draper hat er eine neue Einführung zur Familientherapie verfasst: An Introduction to Family Therapy.

Salvatore D’Amore, PhD, Psychologist, Psychotherapist, is consultant clinical psychologist at the “Centro di Aiuto al Bambino Maltrattato e alla Famiglia” of Rome (Counseling, evaluation and psychotherapy of abused and neglected children and their families). He is consultant for Children and Civil Tribunal in the separation, divorce, placements, foster care and adoption situations. Klaus G. Deissler belongs to the pioneers and mentors of systemic and postmodernen forms of consulting and therapy in Germany. His most important publications are «Die Wertschätzende Organisation» (2004, ed. together with Kenneth J. Gergen), «Phil und Sophie auf der Couch – Die soziale Poesie therapeutischer Gespräche» (2000, ed. together with Sheila McNamee), «Sich selbst erfinden? – Von systemischen Interventionen zu selbstreflexiven therapeutischen Gesprächen» (1997), «Menschenskind, wie kann man systemische Therapiekontexte konstruieren?» (1988), «Beiträge zur systemischen Therapie» (1985) and since 1992 he ist he editor of «Zeitschrift für Systemische Therapie und Beratung». Since 1976 he is working as consultant, psychotherapist and trainer and since 1999 he is a guest progessor at the Medical Highschool Havanna. He is  the managing director of the viisa in Marburg.

Klaus G. Emilia Dowling is a chartered consultant clinical psychologist and family psychotherapist (UKCP registered) at the Tavistock Clinic and in private practice. She is also a visiting professor at Birkbeck College, University of London, and a member of the Institute of Family Therapy. She has worked with families and schools for over 25 years including pioneering work ‘taking the clinic to school’ and developing school based projects with parents children and teachers. Her clinical and research interests include systemic consultation in general practice and working with families during and after separation and divorce. In all areas of her work she is particularly interested in the children’s perspective. For many years she has been involved in training Family Psychotherapists at Masters and Doctoral levels. She has published widely and co-edited with the late Elsie Osborne, The Family and the School: A Joint system approach to problems with Children, 1994 (2nd ed.) She is also co-author, with Gill Gorell Barnes, of Working with Children and Parents through Separation and Divorce, 2000. She is currently editing, with Dr. Arlene Vetere, a book on Narrative Approaches and their application to Child and Family Mental Health.

Catherine Ducommun-Nagy, M.D. is a Swiss born and Swiss-trained child and adolescent psychiatrist who is also a licensed family therapist and an Approved Supervisor of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. She is an Assistant Professor in the Graduate Program in Couple and Family Therapy at Drexel University Philadelphia PA, USA. She is the current director of the Institute for Contextual Growth, Inc in Glenside PA, USA and she teaches Contextual Therapy internationally. She is the author of several articles and book chapters on application of Contextual Therapy. Maureen Duffy is an Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Counseling Program at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. She has over twenty years of clinical experience in the area of marriage and family counseling and has worked extensively with addicted and at risk youth. Her areas of clinical and research interest are qualitative approaches in research and family therapy, mothers in prison, teen gangs and restorative justice, and neuroscience application in systemic family therapy. Her recent publications include a book entitled Teen Gangs: A Global View and a forthcoming book chapter with Ronald J. Chenail on Qualitative Strategies in Couple and Family Assessment. Other recent publications include a postmodern critique of the DSM IV and articles in the area of family therapy and health. Before moving back to the United States, Maureen lived in Dublin, Ireland for 10 years.
